i have finally fulfilled the times-square-for-new-years scenario! 8 hours of standing and we got to see that minuscule ball making its melodramatic descend on top of flashing toshiba boards and the fireworks which were actually q pathetic (such cheapskate sponsers) and the confetti which was actually the best part because millions of tiny little shiny papers were fluttering and glittering against the black sky. it was like those kinda dingdingding fairytale moment when the disney princess makes her wish haha
i couldn’t really think of anything specific to wish for. i guess when you get older you stop making wishes.resolutions like I WANT THAT NEW NONSENSE APPLE PRODUCT or I WILL BE SKINNY AND PRETTY AND POPULAR or I WISH I WILL WIN THE LOTTERY SO I CAN BUY A TON OF FANCY CLOTHES AND THAT 1000$ PURSE SO THAT I CAN JOIN THE IN CROWD because you realize that in time to come these material things fade and turn out to be completely worthless
my resolutions may be all-encompassing and every-changing but one thing stays constant: that i always be true to myself no matter the circumstances
so dear friends, heres to a fearless year ahead where the splendidly joyful, bone-breaking funny, gut-wrenching miserable, disappointingly depressive, and recklessly spirited times await us
happy 2011!
